About EQUAL Society

Effort For Quality of Life (EQUAL) Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to the attainment of highest quality of Life by All. It is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 in Haryana vide no. 363, dated 28.5.1997, under 12A and 80G of Income Tax Act.

Aims and objects of EQUAL Society are:

a) Advancement of Health by rendering preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitatory services to the needy, especially the disadvantaged people to lay special emphasis on providing an environment suitable to healthy living.

b) Promotion of Family Welfare laying special emphasis on advancement of maternal and child health, immunization of the target group and advancement of two child norm.

c) Improving the “Quality of life“ of disadvantaged people whereby the above term signifies the availability of options to express the innate genetic potential of human beings ; the concept of “ Quality of life “ includes access to information and services of healthy living, family welfare, nutrition, immunization, opportunities for education, skill upgradation, gainful employment, access to markets, availability of cost effective shelter, appropriate mode of transport and communication, information about rights of the individual as a human being and as an unit of the socio-political set up and in the event of denial of any of these rights, access to institutions responsible for providing relief in enforcing these rights;

d) To promote the ideals enshrined in the Constitution, especially those contained in the amble, the Directive Principles of State Policy and the Fundamental Duties;

e) To carry out activities to achieve the above listed aims and objectives in a non-profitable, charitable and apolitical manner; to serve humanity irrespective of caste, creed or political affiliation.

Promoters of EQUAL Society

Dr. Om  Parkash

An MBBS doctor with specialization in Public Health and Industrial Heatlh has over 35 years of experience in health administration and Family Planning in Haryana State. He is in mid-eighties, a cancer survivor, a living legend of healthy living based on natural principles and diet. He himself is a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed and operated in AIIMS in 2007 for cancer abdominal wall. He continues to be active and productive to this date as he follows a disciplined lifestyle starting with Shirodhara, massage and walks in the morning, plant based diet and  active life.

Mrs. Bimla

CDO from London, she is trained as a Beautician and has practiced wellness over 30 years. She has life time experience in healthy diet, yoga, pranayam and socially productive living. She is an expert in culinary skills using natural ingredients. She volunteers her time with Brahma Kumaries nd at local Gurudwara .

Dr. Dushant Verma, MD (USA)

A medical doctor, now settled in USA has specialized in Cancer and haematology. He is committed to ethical care, and patient centered practice.

Dr. Pamela Passi

An Ayurvedic doctor (BAMS), she is also trained in Naturopathy and a practitioner of yoga, and natural living.

Mr. Sanjeev Passi

An electric engineer, he has expertise in thermal generation and Solar energy.

Dr. Rakesh

A gold medalist in MBBS, Palleative Care Physician (CCEPC from AIIMS), Therapeutic Yoga Consultant (MDNIY) with three decades of experience.

Mr. Sumit Kumar (Er.)

CTO - Chief Technical Officer, performing all technical works on Sutra Health.
